Who are we?

Copenhagen Geist is a communication platform. We aim to tell the personal stories of emerging people working in art and design, making the process behind the work more visible. Our goal is to show how ideas take form and turn into reality. We want to shift the focus from the final product to the process, highlighting how it varies for each individual.

We shine a spotlight on new designers and artists who may not have the same opportunities to share their stories compared to established creatives.

What we do?

The platform's goal is to create a community where the next generation of designers can share their ideas and dreams. We aim to showcase the creative process and the inspiration behind each artist's/designer's work.

Every featured designer or artist has created a unique t-shirt, with only 100 pieces available for sale. 20% of the profits from the t-shirt sales will go directly to the designers/artists.

The name Copenhagen Geist

The name Copenhagen Geist refers to the environment Niels Bohr created by gathering physicists from all over the world in Copenhagen at the beginning of the 20th century. Referred to as "The Copenhagen Spirit" or "Kopenhagener Geist" in German, this energy was characterized by a flat hierarchy, close camaraderie, and a playful approach to the conversation about the method.

The term reflects the lively vibe of Copenhagen, which we'll highlight in the talent profiles. In the artist/designer's section, we'll explore why Copenhagen matters to them and pinpoint city spots that inspire their creativity.
